The ECS Season 6 Challenger Cups in Europe and North America are set to begin, with eight teams in each region about to battle for spots in the main league.
Both regions' Challenger Cup will be played in a double-elimination, best-of-three bracket, with the top two sides securing spots in their region's ECS Season 6 league.
The North American Challenger Cup will kick off on Tuesday, September 25, and will run until October 2. In Europe, the tournament will run from Thursday, September 27 to Sunday, September 30.
After transferring to another organization, MIBR will have to fight their way back into ECS in the upcoming Challenger Cup
As one of the bottom two teams from the previous season, Gambit will face four qualified teams, LDLC, Epsilon, HAVU, and Space Soldiers, as well as three invited teams (as EnVyUs forfeited their slot): HellRaisers, North, and OpTic.
In North America, Complexity will have to fight their way back into the league after placing last in the previous season, while OpTic's slot was given to an invited team as the lineup made a transfer to Europe.
Gorilla Gang, Bravado, AZIO, and lmfao advanced to the NA Challenger Cup via open qualifiers, while FURIA, MIBR, and TeamOne received direct invites.
